It’s official. After speculation, push-backs, and leaked information, at&t has officially confirmed that the E71x will be available soon. Priced at $99 with a two-year contract, the all black E71x is looking good. No word yet on the firmware, which is rumored to be SP2, an upgrade from the original E71’s FP1. I’m also wondering how badly at&t has crippled the firmware with at&t “improvements”, but we’ll just need to wait and see.

March 30th marks the release of the first native S60 Twitter client, Gravity by MobileWays. Retailing for $9.95, it’s looking like a great start for mobile Tweeting on S60. I’ve installed Gravity on my 5800 Music Xpress, about an hour ago. I’ll post more impressions of Gravity once I’ve played with it more.
And then I see this post over at NokiaAddict : MojosMobile is launching Twittix, the S60 Twitter client that “Blows Gravity away!” Jump over the NokiaAddict to read more. Thanks, GerryMoth!

Over on The Nokia Blog, Mark Guim recently had a hands-on preview the N97 and the E75. He said 90% of his attention was on the N97, for good reason. Which device are you looking forward to more? I’m not excited about the E75 at all, personally.

We’re in a recession. Unfortunatly Nokia sales have been declining a bit, they spent $1B on Symbian, and they’re crushing to two companies into one : Nokia. Between these factors, there was a little bit of “title-overlay”, meaning too many people employed to do the same job.
In order to stay profitable, Nokia was forced to cut 1700 jobs. Story via NokiaUsers.net
