Over at Internet Tablet Talk, user BMan has released a quick tutorial on how to install Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope onto your Nokia N810 internet tablet. It appears to require a Linux computer for partitioning your memory card and running the install scripts. BMan has also provided a big 155MB zip file which includes the files you’ll need. BMan has posted a few more screenshots over at his blog. Thanks for all the hard work, BMan!
I’m glad I haven’t sold my N810 yet! It continues to be a great platform for hackers. Often, projects like this are ported to the N810 first. Remember Android? I’m planning to try to get this running tonight. I’ll post a video if I get it working.
